Final event at COP26: Reshaping the urban energy landscape – citizens’ perspective on the urban energy transition
November 5th, 2021 at 5:30 PM - 7:00 PM

Big cities all around the world are frontrunners in adopting innovative energy policies that help tackle climate change. Yet, however different their challenges may be, a dialogue between active citizens is essential to reimagine large cities’ energy mix. To do so, the REN21-inspired youth-led initiative gathered young citizens to discuss the ways of ways to reshape the roadmap to carbon neutrality of cities around the globe, for example in Milan, São Paulo, and Amsterdam. At COP26, EYEN and BRICS YEA (BRICS Youth Energy Agency) will share key findings and invite young people to discuss the results during a live expert discussion via an interactive platform.Meet the speakers below. The event is moderated by: Carlotta Ferri (Project Manager COP, @European Youth Energy Network) and Vadim Kuznetsov (Director, Sustainability and Climate, @BRICS Youth Energy Agency).
