European Energy Sustainable Week 2022

Organised by the European Commission, the European Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW) is the biggest annual event dedicated to renewables and efficient energy use in Europe.
On 26-30 September 2022, the 16th edition of EUSEW will take place in a hybrid format, with both participants and speakers able to attend online and onsite, under the theme: ‘Going green and digital for Europe’s energy transition’.
The European Sustainable Energy Week consists of a 4-day Policy Conference, the European Sustainable Energy Awards Ceremony, the Energy Fair, Energy Talks and the third European Youth Energy Day.

European Youth Energy Day: Youth Policy Dialogue on how to ensure that Europe’s future energy independence is sustainable
In the context of the European Year of Youth, Kadri Simson, European Commissioner for Energy, will open the third European Youth Energy Day with a discussion with young individuals from across Member States. The speakers will offer their perspectives on how best to meet Europe’s energy targets and what actions must be taken to ensure a sustainable energy future for the next generation. Learn more

Repowering Europe by empowering energy communities: a perspective on digital and social innovation
Energy communities can contribute to a just energy transition by empowering citizens to take ownership of energy project implementation, operation and allocation of benefits. The session will highlight how local renewable energy ownership can contribute to the EU’s access to affordable energy, and identify existing means and gaps for digital tools that can help energy communities deliver system and community benefits. The session will also address the question of how young people can engage in energy communities. Learn more
